The speed of some tracks reaches over 340 km/h on the straights and over 180 km/h on the bends. Therefore, for Formula 1, the safety of the pilots is the most important, and the attraction for the millions of spectators should not be left in the background. The beginning of the major security changes was given by the unfortunate accident with Ayrton Senna on May 1, 1994, which caused his death. That is why the cars have to meet very high requirements for strength and durability.
